What are Custom Made Orthotics or Custom Footware?
Custom Foot Orthotics are specially designed devices that are worn inside the shoe to control abnormal foot function and/or may accommodate areas of foot pain. The result of the foot orthotics controlling the dysfunction within the foot may lead to decreased pain and dramatic improvement in foot symptoms.
Who Needs to Wear Orthotics?
Individuals who experience mild to severe discomfort in the foot, knee and the low back may benefit from an orthotic insole. The feet are the foundation to the body, and if they are not structually stable then further up the mechanical chain can lead to dysfunction (see picture).
